And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The Word will not be changed in My presence, nor am I an oppressor at all unto My bondmen. 29
