Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
