The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 for those on the Right, 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
