Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
