Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the night when it covers 1 And the day resplendent 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 For, distant from it shall remain he who is truly conscious of God: 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
