The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 Fear Him who created you, and the generations of the ancients.' 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
