WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 on the right and on the left in groups? 37 Does every man of them desire that he should be made to enter the garden of bliss? 38 By no means! They know that which We have created them from. 39 I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests that We have the power 40 to replace them with others better than them: nothing can prevent Us from doing this, 41 So leave them to engage in vain talk and to amuse themselves until they come face to face with the Day which they are promised, 42 The Day whereon they shall come forth from the sepulchres hastily, as though they were to an altar hurrying. 43 humbled their eyes, overspreading them abasement. That is the day which they were promised. 44
