The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 you pay attention 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
