(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
