Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
