Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17

God the Almighty always says the truth.
