Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
But the cautious shall live amongst gardens and fountains: 45 Enter them in peace, secure. 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 no fatigue there shall smite them, neither shall they ever be driven forth from there. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 And that My punishment-- that is the painful punishment. 50 Tell them about the guests of Abraham. 51 When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you." 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings? 54 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" 55 He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?" 56 [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 57 They said, "We have been sent forth to a guilty people." 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind. 60
