The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
