The day the enemies of God will be gathered at the Fire and the records of their deeds will be distributed, 19 So that when they reach it their ears and eyes and persons will testify to what they did. 20 And they will ask their skins, "Why did you bear witness against us?" - [and] these will reply: "God, who gives speech to all things, has given speech to us [as well]: for He [it is who] has created you in the first instance - and unto Him you are [now] brought back. 21 Ye have not been taking cover against yourselves lest your ears and your eyes and your skins should bear witness against you, but ye imagined that Allah not much knew of that which ye were working. 22 And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones. 23 Even if they are patient, the Fire will still be their homes. And if they pray to be allowed to make amends, they will not be allowed to do so. 24 ۞ We had assigned to them close companions who made their past and present look attractive to them; and the fate that had once befallen the communities of jinns and men before them was justified upon them. They were indeed bound to perish. 25
