Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord. 1 He it is Who has created you from clay, and then has decreed a stated term (for you to die). And there is with Him another determined term (for you to be resurrected), yet you doubt (in the Resurrection). 2 And He is Allah (the God) of the heavens and in the earth; He knows all, your secrets and your disclosures, and He knows your deeds. 3 yet every time a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. 4 They belied the truth when it came to them, but there shall come to them news of that they were mocking. 5 Have they not seen how many a people We have destroyed before them? People whom We had made more powerful in the earth than you are and upon them We showered from the heavens abundant rains, and at whose feet We caused the rivers to flow? And then (when they behaved ungratefully) We destroyed them for their sins, and raised other peoples in their place. 6 And even if We had sent down unto you (O Muhammad SAW) a Message written on paper so that they could touch it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said: "This is nothing but obvious magic!" 7 They say: Why hath not an angel been sent down unto him? If We sent down an angel, then the matter would be judged; no further time would be allowed them (for reflection). 8 And if We had made him angel, We would certainly have made him a man, and We would certainly have made confused to them what they make confused. 9 And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. 10
