Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Almighty God's Truth.
