T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
