And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
