Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
