The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- 1 who demand of other people full measure for themselves, 2 but who, when they measure or weigh for others, give less than their due. 3 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again 4 (To be raised) for a Great Day? 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin. 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 A book inscribed. 9 Ah the woe that day for those who deny, 10 who cry lies to the Day of Doom; 11 and none cries lies to it but every guilty aggressor. 12 When our signs are recited to him, he says, 'Fairy-tales of the ancients!' 13 No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. 14 Therefore they will be screened off from their Lord that day, 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 and they will be told, "This is what you were wont to belie." 17 Nay! Verily, the Record (writing of the deeds) of Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil), is (preserved) in 'Illiyyun. 18 And what will make thee know whatsoever the record in Illiyun is? 19 A Register inscribed. 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: 22 [resting on couches, they will look up [to God]: 23 and in their faces you shall know the radiance of bliss. 24 They will be given pure wine to drink, which is kept preserved, sealed. 25 whose seal is musk -- so after that let the strivers strive -- 26 And it is mixed with Tasneem. 27 a spring, the nearest ones to God will drink from it. 28 The sinners laughed at the believers 29 when they passed by them, they would wink at one another; 30 and when they returned to their own people, they would speak of them jestingly; 31 On seeing the believers, they would say, "These people have gone astray". 32 But they were not Sent to be guardians over them! 33 So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, 34 Regarding them from their cushioned seats. 35 "Are these deniers of the truth being [thus] requited for [aught but] what they were wont to do?" 36
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
