In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Allah has destroyed the deeds of those who disbelieved and prevented from Allah’s way. 1 But those who believe and do the right, and believe what has been revealed to Muhammad, which is the truth from their Lord, will have their faults condoned by Him and their state improved. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons. 3 If you encounter the disbelievers in a battle, strike-off their heads. Take them as captives when they are defeated. Then you may set them free as a favor to them, with or without a ransom, when the battle is over. This is the Law. Had God wanted, He could have granted them (unbelievers) victory, but He wants to test you through each other. The deeds of those who are killed for the cause of God will never be without virtuous results. 4 He will guide them and set right their state. 5 And bring them in unto the Garden which He hath made known to them. 6 O you who believe! if you help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make firm your feet. 7 And for those who disbelieve – may they be ruined, and may Allah destroy all their deeds! 8 this, because they hate [the very thought of] what God has bestowed from on high and thus He causes all their deeds to come to nought! 9 ۞ Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? Allah wiped them out. And for the disbelievers there will be the like thereof. 10 That is because God is the Protector of the believers, and that the unbelievers have no protector. 11
