Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
