Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
