The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the chargers panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
