Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
