The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
