Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
