Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
