The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they sat around it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
