Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
