Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted? 69 Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,- 70 When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along- 71 Through boiling waters; then they are thrust into the Fire. 72 then it is said to them, 'Where are those you associated, apart from God?' 73 They will reply, "They have abandoned us. In fact, we had worshipped nothing" Thus does God cause the disbelievers to go astray. 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 “Enter the gates of hell, to remain in it forever”; so what a wretched destination for the haughty! 76 HENCE, remain thou patient in adversity - for, verily, God's promise always comes true. And whether We show thee [in this world] something of what We hold in store for those [deniers of the truth,] or whether We cause thee to die [ere that retribution takes place - know that, in the end,] it is unto Us that they will be brought back. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
