Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
