When We told the angels to prostrate before Adam they all obeyed except Iblis (satan) who refused. 116 So We said; "O Adam, he is truly your enemy and your wife's. Do not let him have you turned out of Paradise and come to grief. 117 "There is therein (enough provision) for thee not to go hungry nor to go naked, 118 "Nor to suffer from thirst, nor from the sun's heat." 119 But Satan whispered evil to him: he said, "O Adam! shall I lead thee to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that never decays?" 120 And Adam and his wife ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred. 121 But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him Guidance. 122 [Allah] said, "Descend from Paradise - all, [your descendants] being enemies to one another. And if there should come to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter]. 123 And whoever turns away from My reminder, his shall be a straitened life, and We will raise him on the day of resurrection, blind. 124 He will say: O my Lord! why hast Thou gathered me sightless whereas surely I have been a seer. 125 [God] will reply: "Thus it is: there came unto thee Our messages, but thou wert oblivious of them; and thus shalt thou be today consigned to oblivion!" 126 In this way We recompense the prodigal who disbelieves the verses of his Lord. But the punishment of the Everlasting Life is more terrible and everlasting. 127 Is it not a warning for them to see how many generations living before them We destroyed and how they are now walking in their ruins? In this there is the evidence (of the Truth) for the people of reason. 128

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
