The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
