Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Did you see him who gives the lie to the Reward and Punishment of the Hereafter? 1 Behold, it is this [kind of man] that thrusts the orphan away, 2 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. 3 Woe to those who pray 4 who become confused during their prayers, 5 Those who do things only to be seen by others. 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
