See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil. 83 So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins). 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And drive the guilty towards hell, thirsty. 86 On that Day none will have the power to intercede for them except those who received a sanction from the Most Compassionate Lord. 87 And they say: the Compassionate hath taken a son. 88 You have indeed advanced something hideous! 89 whereat the heavens might well-nigh be rent into fragments, and the earth be split asunder, and the mountains fall down in ruins! 90 That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son, 91 and it behoves not the All-merciful to take a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and earth except he comes to the Merciful as a worshiper. 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 And everyone of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender). 95 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good deeds for them will Allah bring about love. 96 We have therefore made this Qur’an easy upon your tongue, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to announce glad tidings with it to those who fear, and warn those who are quarrelsome. 97 How many generations We have destroyed before them! Can you find a single one of them alive now, or hear so much as a whisper from them? 98
