111 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hood (Hood) before The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Alif Lam Ra. Those are the signs of the Manifest Book. 1 behold, We have bestowed it from on high as a discourse in the Arabic tongue, so that you might encompass it with your reason. 2 We relate unto you (Muhammad SAW) the best of stories through Our Revelations unto you, of this Quran. And before this (i.e. before the coming of Divine Inspiration to you), you were among those who knew nothing about it (the Quran). 3 Remember when Yusuf (Joseph) said to his father, “O my father! I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon – I saw them prostrating to me.” 4 He said: O my dear son! Tell not thy brethren of thy vision, lest they plot a plot against thee. Lo! Satan is for man an open foe. 5 And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of sayings and make His favor complete to you and to the children of Yaqoub, as He made it complete before to your fathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq; surely your Lord is Knowing, Wise. 6
