T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
