The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
