People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 As to what they did. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
