Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
