The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
