And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
