۞ And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Journey along with My bondmen within the night, for you will be pursued.” 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 they have enraged us, 55 we are a large and watchful force." 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
