And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him, warn your closest relatives. 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
