And so, they who are bent on denying the truth are saying: "What! After we have become dust - we and our forefathers - shall we [all,] forsooth, be brought forth [from the dead]? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 But do not grieve over them, and neither be distressed by the false arguments which they devise [against Gods messages]. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn their backs on it, 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
