Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But then they divided up their order into different creeds, each section rejoicing in what it had come to have. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 until We opened the gate of greater torment (death) and they suddenly found themselves in despair. 77
