Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 and that you follow the right path. 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 and We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them up, so they are unable to see. 9 thus, it is all one to them whether thou warnest them or dost not warn them: they will not believe. 10 Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward. 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
