And a sign unto them is the dead land. We quicken it and thereout We bring forth grain, so that thereof they eat. 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him Who created pairs of all things, of what the earth grows, and of their kind and of what they do not know. 36 And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in the dark; 37 And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 [and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws]. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their seed in the laden ship, 41 And We have created for them the like of it in which they board. 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 unless it be a mercy from us, and as an enjoyment for a season. 44 When it is said to them: "Beware of what is before you and what is past, that you may be treated with kindness;" 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled if ye say sooth? 48 They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
