We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
